For Korean National Health Insurance Holder

Patients covered by the Korean National Health Insurance Program (NHI) should bring a referral from a local doctor, or else they will have to be reevaluated by a physician from the family medicine department as stated in the NHI guidelines.

For Private Insurance Holder

We have contracts with the following insurance agencies :
INT'L SOS, Tricare (TOP Prime), Global Benefits Group, CIGNA International, GAP, United Health Insurance Global, Geo blue and HTH worldwide, Metlife, afspa, Tricareinternational, Daman, AAI healthcare.

If your insurance company does not have a contract with SNUBH, you will be required to pay upfront and then file a claim to your insurance company later.

Available direct building insurance

Payment

  1. 1

    You may pay by cash or credit card.
    To exchange your local currency to
    Korean Won, a branch of Shinhan Bank is
    located at SNUBH.

    Patient will be asked to make payments
    for each out-patient visit and at the
    end of in-patient care upon discharge
    from the hospital, unless SNUBH
    has guarantee of payment from
    the insurance companies
    in advance.

    We may pay referral fees to third
    parties, but it does not affect the
    total amount of actual medical
    billing of the patient.

  4. 4

    Payment for emergency room
    visit is made separately at the
    payment desk in the
    emergency room.
