Anesthesiology and pain medicine

Introduction to the Department

The department of anesthesiology and pain medicine administers not only 38 operating rooms but also pain center, intensive critical care room and rapid response team.

In operating rooms, general/regional anesthesia, pediastric anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, cardiopulmonary anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, and anesthesia for organ transplants were actively conducted by many anestesiologists.

Our department is also operating a pre-surgery evaluation room and 2 recovery rooms for safety of anesthesia and post operative recovery or pain control.

Pain center is another principle part. Our center performs treatment patients with acute/chronic pain in outpatient clinic or outpatient surgery center.

In outpatient surgery center with up-to-date facilities, various interventions of pain were conducted by pain physicians.

Also, pain center cooperate with other clinical department for treatment intractable pain patients.
