Radiation is energy that is neither visible nor touchable. When a person actually receives radiation therapy, he/she feels nothing; hence, the absence of pain or other inconvenience during radiation therapy.
Like all medical-treatment methods, however, side effects may begin to appear two to three weeks after the commencement of treatment. These side effects are deemed minor, though, considering the treatment effects.
The Department of Radiation Oncology of this hospital is using the newest linear accelerators that enable three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and stereotactic body radiotherapy under image guidance as state-of-the-art radiation therapys, doing its best to minimize the side effects and to treat lesions effectively.
