Billing and Insurance

For Korean National Health Insurance Holder

Patients covered by the Korean National Health Insurance Program (NHI) should bring a referral from a local doctor, or else they will have to be reevaluated by a physician from the family medicine department as stated in the NHI guidelines.

For Private Insurance Holder

We have contracts with the following insurance agencies :
INT'L SOS, Tricare (TOP Prime), Global Benefits Group, CIGNA International, GAP, UB Care, United Health Insurance, Geo blue and HTH worldwide, BCBS, Metlife, Daman

If your insurance company does not have a contract with SNUBH, you will be required to pay upfront and then file a claim to your insurance company later.

For more information about private insurance and other insurance holders from non-USA countries, please contact us at 82-31-787-2042.

You may pay by cash or credit card.
To exchange your local currency to Korean Won, Shinhan Bank is located at SNUBH.

Patient will be asked to make payments for each out-patient visit and at the end of in-patient care upon discharge from the hospital, unless SNUBH has guarantee of payment from the insurance companies in advance.

We may pay referral fees to third parties, but it does not affect the total amount of actual medical billing of the patient.

Payment for emergency room visit is made separately at the payment desk in the emergency room.
