Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) announced the completion of its new dormitory and integrated medical support facility, SNUHouse, with an inauguration ceremony held on Jan. 14 at the facility's first-floor lobby.
SNUHouse is a newly constructed 10-story dormitory facility built above the hospital's underground parking lot (B1–B5) on Site B, which also includes the funeral hall area.
The dormitory consists of 126 single-occupancy rooms and 133 double-occupancy rooms, accommodating approximately 400 medical staff. The facility also includes various amenities such as a fitness center, study rooms, a community lounge, and a daycare center to support the well-being of hospital employees.

Officials from SNUBH, SNUH, and SNU cut a ribbon to dedicate the SNUHouse located in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, on Jan. 14. Key officials include SNUBH President & CEO Song Jung-han (sixth from right), SNU President Ryu Hong-lim (to Song’s left), and SNUH President & CEO Kim Young-tae (to Ryu's left).
The introduction of SNUHouse is expected to significantly enhance the quality of life and job satisfaction of medical personnel, particularly those working 24-hour rotating shifts, SNUBH said. With the dormitory's close proximity to the hospital, staff members can conveniently commute on foot, even during hours when public transportation is unavailable.
SNUHouse will also serve as a hub for global medical exchange by providing accommodation for international medical professionals who visit the hospital to learn advanced surgical techniques.
SNUBH hosts over 100 foreign medical experts annually, offering training in various minimally invasive surgeries, including laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, arthroscopic, and robotic surgeries, as well as neurosurgical procedures.
"The completion of this facility marks a crucial milestone in our efforts to create a hospital where both patients and staff can thrive, while also strengthening our role as a hub for global medical exchange,” SNUBH President & CEO Song Jung-han said. “The new dormitory will provide a comfortable environment for our dedicated medical personnel to rest and recharge, ultimately enhancing the quality of patient care."
